SELLER’S Property Disclosure:
You might email: Call.Center@dbpr.state.fl.us or call the DBPR Customer Contact Center at 850-487-1395, contact an attorney or call your local Board of Realtors for the latest in state law concerning a seller disclosure.
At the time this web site was constructed, no state law appears to dictate the use of a mandatory disclosure form, although this could have changed. However, that may have changed and you are advised to inquire about the current situation. Even so, the seller should disclose anything that could be construed as a public safety or health issue. Using a generic form to disclose problems or even better, revealing that no problems exist, is a good marketing ploy on your part. After all, your competition isn’t doing it.
A “sample” review of a state seller disclosure form is available at uslegalforms.com. Go there and select the state where your property is located. Click on FREE PREVIEW to familiarize yourself with the contents of the form.
